As I was sitting in my chair beneath the high dormer window, I glanced at the picture hanging on the wall opposite of me. The evening sun was being reflected from a building through the window and onto the picture. The picture is a photograph of my late aunt when she was five years old around 1929. The photographer of back then had tinted the photo adding color. The large photo is enclosed in an antique frame and a type of bowed glass covers it. With the light hitting the glass, the reflection stretched and distorted. In the image of the distorted lit window sits a cat. I thought it was an interesting image that a moment and piece of the present layered and reflected upon the past in the photograph.

I have a photo so similar of my mother I had to look twice. Same pose, haircut, frame, portraiture. Amazing. I love the treatment you captured - the light, the cat.
Hi Bo. That is neat that you have a similiar photo and that of your mother. I was just playing with this as reflection and light do have the most interesting effects in photography.
