Red Barn in Kansas Early Spring

Yesterday, Preston and I traveled the two-lane Highway 56 East, which follows along the Santa Fe Trail in Southeast Kansas. Dawn began in the fog and as the morning grew, clouds scattered in the mostly sunny sky. The countryside was fresh and bright cloaked in the colors of early spring after the night’s rain. This red barn is part of a beautifully maintained estate in Overbrook, Kansas.

A lovely setting for a barn - amidst the glory of those Spring blossoms. Lovely, Anna.

Hi sengdroma. Yes, “The Secret Garden.” I always enjoyed that story and I surely wanted to explore beyond those gates but could not. Thanks for your comment and stopping by. :)
