When I took this shot I knew the sun would hide behind the western hills soon.

I tried to capture the last rays of the sun reflecting on the barbwire. We were wearing jackets for the temperature was about 50 degrees and the evening breeze was chilly.

I just love this picture, don’t really know why. To me it is a reflection picture without water. The stones capture the last warmth of the sun as the night shadows quickly appear.

All too soon, the sky turns to orange as the sun decides to call it a night. It has done its job on this side of the globe, time to move on.

The sun leaves pulling a blanket of nightness behind it.

Goodnight sun, we’ll see you again.
Tomorrow I’ll post the video I made of “Chasing a Kansas Sunset.”
