Kansas Impressions

There is something about the Kansas landscapes. Kansas has many landscapes as moods and weather. I had felt these impressions nearly 20 years ago when Preston and I toured Kansas from east to west before moving here.

As a child, I had vacationed in Kansas, but that was to a town to visit relatives. Returning as an adult, the nativeness, the stark beauty, miles upon miles of prairie, many winding dirt roads, and the forever skies captured my heart.

I really do not have a favorite season in Kansas. I happen to love all the many coats of Kansas because there are seasons within seasons.

I love to stand on a high hill while the wind moans and circle to see the vastness of land all about me as the sky swallows me up. The birds sing and call. Coyotes yip. Cows softly moo in the distance. A lulling song within the Kansas Impressions.
