Unfortunately there is no secret .. you just have to pull in the reins and manage as best you can. I decided a few years ago to start cooking all our food scratch, much cheaper that way, there are no additives, and you know exactly what your eating... this has helped enourmously :) The cost of living across here is getting beyond a joke!

I use my car to get back and forth to work at the moment, but there is talk of the big oil companies raising the fuel prices in september this year to £1.50/$3.00 a litre for regular which would make it £7.50/$15.00 a gallon!... scarey stuff! You can’t buy milk over here by the gallon, but 1 litre of milk costs £0.76/$1.52 - so a gallon would work out to be roughly $7.60. How does that compare with your prices?

If you had filled up your tank over here 19 gallons would have cost you $210 dollars!
