Snowball

Flowering blossoms on a Snowball bush.

This is a full photo of the snowball bush as the first close-up macro photo above just shows the blossoms. In Bo’s comment, she asked if this was a hydrangea. I decided to research since this is a bush I was unfamiliar with and belonged in the neighbor’s yard. I had asked my mom what it was and she had said it was a snowball bush.  The hydrangea plant blossoms do look similar to the snowball bush blossoms yet their leaves are different.

Here are some links for comparision:

Is the snowball bush also a white hydrangea? Seems I’ve heard of white hydrangeas; I have blue and pink ones in the yard in bloom now and the flowers are so alike. Maybe I’ll go take a photo and post.
