Life & Death

While driving around on a country road everything was spring green. So much green one couldn’t tell where it started or ended. Until I saw this lonely windmill in front of a grove of dead trees. Spring reveals its dead. A contrast of the cycle of Life and Death taught by Nature. Perhaps that is where truly the wild things are.

But what would kill so many trees all at once?

This picture of the windmill in front of the trees is really sharp. The limbs of the trees really glisten in the sun. That is great photography!

uphilldowndale, I don’t have a clue as to why there were so many trees dead all in one area. I could guess as to a disease or a fire. It was unusual to see in the middle of all that green.

    Thank you, Mom. :)

That is a lot of firewood. I’m surprised there aren’t any modern windmills like they use for electricity. Hope you both have avoided the rough Kansas weather of late.

Hi Bill. There are modern windmills used for electricity but mostly out in western Kansas. And that was where the rough weather has been too. We live in eastern Kansas. :)
