Recently, I revisited some old barns I had photographed in January during the starkness of winter. Definitely more colorful in the spring with the green and the trees fully bloomed. The barns are still used for storage and hay…and where critters make their homes. I’ll probably go back in late August for the deep summer and wildflowers, and then when autumn is at its peak in October to take photographs of the barns again. There were two barns I didn’t photograph. One was covered in trees, and at the other barn, there was a crusty old farmer with his pit bull there. That would have made interesting photos but they, the farmer and dog, didn’t look too willing. I wasn’t brave enough to stop and ask.

I wish we had old building like these in FL. These buildings have character and tell a story.
Wow, the stone barn is pretty awesome.
Yes, these old buildings have character with a story to tell, Paul.
I’m drawn to the stone barn and I have taken many photographs of it in various ways, Bo. It sits by a mystery, abandoned old house. I’d like to shoot more photographs of the barn and house because I feel I haven’t yet captured the stories they tell. Lighting has been my problem… getting the right light and shadows. This is the photo of the old house I had taken in January:

Thank you Paul and Bo for your comments and stopping by.
