Kaw Inter-tribal Pow Wow

This is a short video of my photographs of the Kaw Inter-tribal Pow Wow that took place on Sunday afternoon, June 22nd, at the Kaw Mission park in Council Grove, Kansas. Pow wows were part of the events for Wah-Shun-Gah Days. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed the Indian pow wow pictures on your video. It takes me back to when I was a child and we would go out into the Black Jacks (woods) in the country and watch the Indian dancers as they held their pow wow in Oklahoma. I don’t think they were dressed out as well as they are in your video. They really had some awsome costumes in your video. Very colorful!!!

Hi Mom! I remember that being talked about and how those were the real-thing powwows. These Indian dancers were in their full regalia, and yes, very colorful. :)
