It’s A Bug’s Life

I was shooting upclose photos of daylilies when I notice this interesting insect. It noticed me too, and kept moving around. I couldn’t figure out what it had in its grasp until I viewed the photos later. The insect had another bug in its clasp to eat. And a fly followed along. I don’t have a clue what type of insects these are… the live one and the dead one. I searched on a bug website but didn’t find any bugs similar.

I can’t tell you what they are either, but I can tell you that I like the shots.

My mother in law knows her insect, native plants, and trees. A bug is a bug. And your photos are excellent.
