To get the picture you want can be risky for the photographer. You could fall off a cliff, fall from a bridge, get bit by a snake, twist an ankle, or questioned by a Kansas State Trooper. I saw some orange Lilies growing off the side of the road. Had to get the picture. With our truck pulled off the side of the road, and me laying in the ditch to get a picture caused concern for a passing State Trooper. Once he saw our cameras he figured out the situation and told us to have a great day.

Orange Lilies growing wild. I’ve seen them for several years now. Decided to capture the image so I can enjoy them during the bitter cold winter.

Great post!!! My son is a Florida State Trooper. Totally understand. Have a Happy Independence Day!
That’s a great capture, the Trooper story only makes it better. I love both the composition and the orange against the green.
Steve I couldn’t help myself but to take the picture of the trooper. I guess even if I got pulled over for whatever reason, I would still want to take a picture.
I’m no good with a macro so I just use regular lens and get real close. Thanks for the comment, I really did like the flowers and tried to capture what I saw.
Paul I am not surprised to hear your son is a Trooper. Cars and adventure must run in the family blood with you guys. Always good to hear from you.
One Trackback/Pingback
[...] The idea was to get pictures while it was raining. First and foremost, mustn’t get the camera wet. Anna and I were standing under a carwash taking photo’s when this trooper happened across the tracks. Had he of turned and saw two folks with cameras under the carwash, he may have come and paid us a visit. Wouldn’t have been the first time, check out: Kansas State Trooper and the Orange Lilies [...]
