This was the house he was born in. He lived about 75 of his 90 years right here. Never married, never had any children. Cut wood to keep the house warm during the winter. Saw no sense in warming the entire house since he was the only one living there in his later years. He would put the wood in the stove located in the kitchen. Cooked his meals, made his coffee, and warmed the bottom part of the house that way. He didn’t go upstairs, no need to. He put a cot in the kitchen to stay warm at night as he slept. He drove six miles down the dirt road every Sunday to go to church. About 15 years ago he moved to stay with his sister where he eventually died. The house has never been lived in or cared for since. Word has it, many things from his early years still remain inside. There is a family nearby with some idea of this history. Will be seeking the owner of this property for permission to take pictures within the walls of this structure. Shortly after the pictures are taken, we will share them with our viewers.
