Ye Old Alma, Kansas Hotel

Filed under: All Photos~Posts, Alma, Kansas, Anna Photos, Kansas Cities & Towns, Places — Tags: , , , — Anna Surface @ 6:07 am

The Alma, Kansas Hotel was established in 1887, built from native limestone, and sits catty-corner downtown. The hotel was known as the Brandt Hotel where it housed the railroad crews and year-round.

With this photograph, I post-processed with HDR, and further boosted with the Orton effect.

YesBut, welcome back. I had walked in those rooms a long time ago out of curiosity. They weren’t talking… or perhaps, then, I wasn’t listening. I agree with you, they could tell some stories. Thanks for your comment and stopping by. :)

    I do love old buildings.

  5. I want to travel back in time and stay in hotels like this across the country. Get up in the morning walk to the cafe and have breakfast for 20 cents.

  8. HDR enhanced with an Orten effect… you’re really getting your toys lined up! It works well on this image. Nice job.
