I’m working with a fish eye lens and trying to make the shot interesting. We have several software programs for processing our photos and I used several of them on this one. First I took the photo with three different exposures and merged the three into one creating an HDR. Next I digitally painted the photo to bring out the vibrant colors. Next I used a program with various filters to increase depth and to bring and extra punch to the shot. Lastly I ran across a filter which blurred the background and then I clarified the foreground giving the photo a tilt or miniature appearance.
I realize the photo is highly saturated and the blur is in places I wish it wasn’t however, I like it the way it is. I doubt it will appeal to all but I’m excited in the fact I took the photo and turned it into what it is. I couldn’t have done this a year ago. Photography is an ongoing experience and I love it.

Preston and Anna, Thank you from my heart for sharing your talents that God has graced you with. As I have told Preston, your pictures have brought tears to my eyes more than once! You both have the ability to see the rainbows in the grass. God Bless You!
Thank you so much Dave. Anna and I surely enjoy photography and the Kansas Landscape. Glad you enjoy the photos.
WOW! Just WOW! The before to after transformation is just unbelievable. What a stunning image.
Thanks Ed. Now if I only knew what I was doing. It is simply hit and miss for me. Here for the fun of the game. Thanks for the comment.
Hi Preston,
You know, a good friend of mine (who is a professional photographer) told me that the photographer’s role is to make something out of nothing. It didn’t take long before I realized that she was right and I must say that you have been very successful here and really “made something out of nothing”. I looks like a model of a landscape and I think it is very unusual and interesting.
I learn from all of you and consider all our blog friends professional, if not but just for the love and passion they have for the art they display in their photos. Pure luck for me on this photo, but I sure had a lot of fun with it. I enjoy your blog and the way you are capturing life in Sweden. You might find Yesbuts blog: http://yesbuts.wordpress.com/ interesting for he captures England very similar to the way you capture Sweden.
Just to let you know, the new site loads a lot quicker than the old one – which is a good thing for those of us with slow internet connections.
Great image
Hi Yesbuts. I noticed there was a problem with the old theme and I got tired of the black background and white print. So, I switched to the present theme, and it is good to know this theme loads quicker. Thanks! ~Anna
