Matyak’s Garage at Deila, Kansas

Driving around yesterday and came upon this garage. What is not shown are the dead birds between the glass on the front of the building and the cardboard. Somehow the birds got between the glass and the cardboard and could not get out. It was awful. You could tell they experienced a terrifying death.

Into The Storm

On Sunday the 15th, we had traveled north on Highway 99, a two-lane highway snaking into northeast Kansas. The sunny sky forecasted was building with storm clouds. As we approached Westmoreland, we stopped on a crested hill, the storm was blooming overhead.

Tornado Damage at Manhattan, Kansas

A tornado struck Manhattan, Kansas June 11, 2008 at 11:00 PM. Hot Rods and Classic Cars - Power Tour 2008
