Dogs Looking For a Home

This is a female coonhound named Bertha. She was brought in by the dog catcher about a week or so ago to the Pottawatomie County Humane Society in Wamego, KS.

Tulip Festival

The long and hard Kansas winter had seeped into early spring. The tulips were late in blooming for the 2008 Tulip Festival in Wamego, Kansas.

The tulips that blossomed were a beautiful and bright sight.

Festival Footwear

At the Tulip Festival, Wamego, Kansas, I noticed the variety of footwear. The day was warm, sunny and breezy. And there were some tulips but this year because of the cold lasting for so long, the tulips were late in blooming.
