Double Exposure

From time to time, I like to post my photo ‘mistakes’ whether it was because I had erred in shooting or in post-processing. I find it interesting. This photo of a wildflower was fine until I merged layers in post-processing, and it came out looking like a film double exposure. I remember how I did [...]

It’s A Bug’s Life

I was shooting upclose photos of daylilies when I notice this interesting insect. It noticed me too, and kept moving around. I couldn’t figure out what it had in its grasp until I viewed the photos later. The insect had another bug in its clasp to eat. And a fly followed along. I don’t have [...]

Wheat View

The wheat is softly blurred behind the macro shot of the fly giving the photo an abstract and real feel.

Wheat views up close revealing entwined patterns.

Day Shot~Grump Toad

As I was out and about in my yard, Toad hopped in front me. Deciding Toad would make a great macro photo, I grabbed Toad then my camera. Toad was not happy, indeed. Toad got grumpy.

Day Shot~Puff

Out in the country grasses and rocky outcrop, this huge puff plant grows. It looks like a dandelion puff head but it isn’t a dandelion. It has these long, tight buds around it and I don’t know if they are flowers. I searched in the Kansas wildflowers and couldn’t find it. This photo is a [...]

New Maple Leaves

It is always amazing to me in the springtime how the new blooms from the old. These delicate and newly green maple leaves grow from the mature leaves. Same aged tree yet ever expanding in new growth. Nature, a grand teacher.
